About SIGMA

SIGMA Corporation is a global company offering a wide range of water and wastewater infrastructure products, fire protection and OEM products. We are the leader in many of the markets in which we operate and are distinguished by our innovative quality and supply chain processes. We continue to develop new products and services, meeting the changing needs of our valued customers every day.

Established in 1985 by engineers with new ideas for servicing the water and wastewater industries, SIGMA has grown into a global company with a major presence in the U.S and Canada, and loyal customers around the world.

We continuously strive to create safer, better, more cost-effective products for the worldwide water and wastewater industry. Company achievements include:

  • SIGMA is one of the leading suppliers of AWWA approved fittings, by both volume and innovation.
  • SIGMA is the #1 supplier of Pipe Restraint Products (PRP) to the North American and Canadian waterworks markets.
  • SIGMA has the widest range of Pipe Restraints available; our product line spans 2-64 inch restraints.
  • SIGMA is the first in the industry to bring 54-64 inch Wedge Restraints to market.
  • SIGMA is the only supplier of Municipal and Construction Castings serving the entire North American market.

The company is recognized for its product innovation, having developed and introduced:

  • Large diameter Wedge and PVC Bell restraints,
  • Innovative PV-LOK and split ONE-LOK joint restraints,
  • SigLet, a U.S. manufactured high-strength, low-cost threaded welding outlet for fire sprinkler systems.

SIGMA is unique in providing the widest selection of Drainage Solutions in the U.S. today. We brought Hydrotec, the innovative trench drain solution for storm water management, from Europe to the U.S. market and currently offer the broadest selection of trench drains solutions, working with U.S. manufacturers such as PolyLok. We are uniquely positioned to offer steel, concrete and plastic trench drain systems.

Staying true to our roots, SIGMA still provides the widest selection of fittings available on the market today.

SIGMA Quality Assurance Experts start by thoroughly inspecting each factory before approving it as a SIGMA manufacturer. They examine every facet of the operation from the procurement of raw materials to the maintenance of equipment through the fabrication process. SIGMA stations engineers at all factories to provide constant monitoring and frequent quality assurance inspections. Finally, SIGMA conducts Incoming Quality Control tests, during which random samples of inventory are shipped from factories around the world to our company headquarters for inspection.

SIGMA’s heat coding process is revolutionary in the industry. We stamp each item with manufacturing data so it is traceable back to its origin. By marking each product, we can track it for Quality Assurance, and in the event of a problem, identify every fitting from that batch. Our products also undergo third party inspection on a regular basis.

SIGMA requires that every single fitting be hydrotested before it is permitted to leave our factories. This means that each and every item we send to our customers has been physically tested to withstand the pressure that it will undergo after installation. This is SIGMA’s way of assuring our customers, distributors, partners, and end-users that ours are the safest and most reliable fittings available on the market today.

Our Quality Standards are the highest in the industry because we demand it. Quality doesn’t just happen, it requires constant, deliberate, focused vigilance. And that is what SIGMA promises, each and every day.

SIGMA consistently strives to put the customer first. This was our model from the day we opened our doors, and, along with quality, continues to be a top priority. We constantly evaluate our Supply Chain to achieve maximum efficiency and our Customer Service Representatives are trained in Best Practices to be sure that they are anticipating and meeting customers’ needs without fail.

Los Angeles Department of Water and Power Mechanical Engineer Luis Zaldivar describes SIGMA’s commitment to service:

“SIGMA always goes the extra mile for us. I’ve been in this business for 25 years, and there are issues that come up on every job. But it’s the way people address these issues that makes the difference. SIGMA’s team is proactive, responsive, and takes care of whatever may arise. Their Quality Assurance Program is also exemplary, and that is very, very important to us.”

Never content to rest on our laurels, SIGMA recently underwent an innovative reorganization in all aspects of Sourcing and Procurement. This new approach ensures that we achieve maximum efficiency and accuracy for the benefit of our customers. The Sourcing and Procurement Group redefined tasks, created new jobs, and optimized manpower so that the Supply Chain is operating in the most effective manner.

SIGMA was the 2012 recipient of the prestigious CNA Leadership in Safety Award. The award recognizes an industry leader for implementing policies and procedures that create a safer, more productive working environment.

After 30 years, significant presence in the national and international markets, and countless product and policy innovations, our commitment to the SIGMA Family—the employees, the customers, and the end users of our product—remains constant. We were thrilled with the commendation, and our dedication to safety, quality, and service continues to be firm and unwavering.

When we at SIGMA give our word, you know that we have 30 years of Quality, Service, and Commitment behind it. You know that SIGMA will deliver.
