SIGMA-Raven Receives Environmental Stewardship Award

SIGMA-Raven’s Idaho facility received the 2023 Environmental Stewardship award presented by Denton Plastics, Inc. The award was created to recognize businesses that demonstrate a meaningful commitment to preserving the environment, recycling, and keeping material out of landfills. Last year, SIGMA-Raven processed 448,492 lbs of recycled resin from Denton Plastics. That translates into 3655 barrels of oil, 1,294,796kWh of energy, and 6727 cubic yards of landfill space saved.

SIGMA-Raven Co-founder and Plant Manager Chad Archer explains:  “We have been working with Denton Plastics since 2008. They are a great supplier and are truly committed to reducing the amount of plastic that goes into landfills. They provide us with recycled plastic material for our manufacturing process, and their skill at meeting color specs, adding UV protection, and maintaining overall quality is excellent.”  In addition to supplying SIGMA-Raven with plastic, Denton also buys back SIGMA-Raven scrap materials, making this a full-circle ecological operation that advances sustainability and protects the environment.

Mara Draganic, Director of Business Development, Denton Plastics comments, “We have a great working relationship with Chad and his team. Both sides prioritize service, collaboration, fair pricing, and of course, the environment. Denton is deeply committed to reclaiming and recycling the maximum amount of plastic that we can to minimize environmental impact and it is gratifying to find others in the industry who share this mission. Chad truly cares—when he has the opportunity to recycle and repurpose plastic and scrap he always contacts us and he makes an effort, regardless of the size of the load, to ensure that it is delivered to us, and not put a landfill.”

SIGMA thanks Denton Plastics for this recognition. We also congratulate Chad and the entire SIGMA-Raven Idaho team on this award, thank you all for your excellent work, and wish you continued success.
