SIGMA Secures Treatment Plant Infrastructure Order in Tennessee

—Large-sized Restraints Essential to Renovation of McCroskey Island Plant—

SIGMA Corporation has announced delivery of the first part of a major contract to support the renovation of a 3-year, multi-million-dollar renovation of the McCroskey Island Wastewater Treatment Plant in Sevierville, TN.

The project is being led by a seasoned contractor and construction management service provider, Judy Construction Company. Judy Construction has extensive experience in the construction and renovation of water and wastewater treatment facilities and is a long-time customer of Sigma’s valuable industry partner, Ferguson Waterworks.

The SIGMA order consists of 127 tons of fittings and restraints. Upwards of 250 4” to 54” MJ & Flange fittings and more than 450 4” to 54” DI restraints. To date, 10 full flatbed loads have been delivered on a preset schedule with Ferguson Waterworks & Judy Construction.

Over the past few years, SIGMA’s Plant Division has provided similar jobs in a myriad of markets across the country.  These opportunities have created experience and expertise that translates to tangible strengths.  On ground inventories have been strengthened, based on past purchases and SIGMA foundries’ capacity, and capabilities have expanded to meet the unique demands of treatment plant projects.

Dennis Wilson, SIGMA’s Technical Sales Coordinator, commented on the project: “SIGMA is one of the few suppliers positioned to provide both large diameter fittings and restraints in a timely manner. We were able to serve this central southeastern customer via multiple, strategically located, SIGMA distribution hubs.”
