Andy Trotter Promoted and Tyler Smith Hired in NE Region
SIGMA is proud to announce the promotion of Andy Trotter to Regional Inventory Manager and the hiring of Tyler Smith as Supply Chain Support Assistant. Andy had held the Supply Chain role for the past year, and when the Inventory Manager position became available, he was a natural choice.
Branch Manager Susan Van Hook comments, “We were thrilled to be able to promote from within. Andy had the knowledge and experience to fill the role and he’s doing really well. It has been a smooth transition because Andy was so familiar with our product line and our operational processes from his work on the Supply Chain team.” Andy’s approach to the new job is methodical and hands on; he created his own googlemap of the yard to help him learn locations of each product. He also values the mentorship of his coworkers, especially Branch Manager Susan Van Hook and Operations Manager Jim Carr. When he’s not managing SIGMA’s inventory, Andy enjoys keeping fit—he just completed his first half marathon! He can be reached at atrotta@sigmaco.com.
When Andy’s Supply Chain position was vacated, SIGMA was fortunate to find a replacement in Tyler Smith. A local boy, Tyler grew up in Spring Lake, NJ, attended Manasquan High School and headed south for college, earning a Bachelor’s Degree in Business Administration from Auburn University. He returned home, and now supports the supply chain team routing shipments and reviewing inventory documents to ensure accuracy and prompt delivery. He hit the ground running, learning as much as he can every day from his coworkers and putting that knowledge into hands-on action. In his spare time, Tyler enjoys golf, tennis, watching sports and reading. He can be reached at tsmith@sigmaco.com.
SIGMA congratulates Andy and Tyler on their new positions and wishes them both much success.
