Congratulations Are in Order...

SIGMA is proud to announce several promotions and a new addition to our executive leadership team.

Mitchell Rona has been promoted to President, OEM and Business Development. He will focus on developing and executing strategies to grow sales and profits in the OEM business.  CEO Mark Carpenter comments, “Mitchell’s wealth of product and global sourcing knowledge, customer and supplier relationships, and long tenure at SIGMA are great assets to the company. He will continue to provide guidance to our supply chain team as we constantly adjust to the dynamic nature of the marketplace and unpredictable demand forecasts.”

We are also pleased to welcome Amit Chaudhary to the team as Chief Operating Officer. Amit brings with him over 20 years of experience in process improvement, manufacturing operations, and supply chain management. He will assume responsibility for all of SIGMA’s operations including engineering, manufacturing, planning and delivery, compliance, and new acquisitions.  Mark adds:  “As we focus on a robust growth strategy to build on SIGMA’s strong market position, wide product range, and increasingly diverse supply chain, we recognized the need for a seasoned executive to take on the central role of coordinating our operational units and key initiatives. Amit was the ideal choice.”

There has also been significant upward mobility in the Finance Department. Don Muller has assumed the role of Chief Financial Officer after 11 years as VP of Finance and Controller.  Maria Gliddon has been promoted to Head of Financial Planning and Analysis. Rebekah James has been promoted to Controller. All of these moves were made to fill the sizeable shoes of Jeff Marcus, SIGMA CFO since 1998, who is retiring.  Don comments on the promotions:  “This is a prime example of our company's commitment to fostering internal talent and ensuring our team grows with us for the long term. Both Maria and Rebecca were natural choices for their new positions given their impressive skill sets and experience. Their promotions were strongly supported across the entire organization. They both have an outstanding reputations within the company for their dedication to serving our internal users, and this was clearly reflected in their well-deserved promotions.”

We congratulate all of these employees on their promotions, and send a warm SIGMA welcome to Amit with best wishes for much success. We also extend our heartfelt thanks to Jeff for his 27 years of service to the company.
