Dennis Wilson, Fabricator Sales Manager/Technical Sales Engineer, Heeds the Call to Public Service
SIGMA congratulates Dennis Wilson, Fabricator Sales Manager/Technical Sales Engineer, on his election to Helena, Alabama’s City Council. He was sworn in on Election Day, and his daughter, Kate Belyayeva, an attorney, did the honors. When asked what motivated his candidacy, Wilson is clear: “I felt I had to. The city faces significant fiscal challenges, and someone needed to step up and restore stability. I kept looking around for that person and eventually I felt called to serve for my family and my hometown.” Although he has officially taken office, Wilson continues to prioritize his full-time job with SIGMA and has been direct with his constituents and fellow pols: “The City Council position requires two meetings per month in our small town. I remain committed to serving my customers and colleagues at SIGMA and I have a solid plan to balance these responsibilities with my duties as a City Councilman to ensure that everyone’s needs are met.”
As a waterworks professional for his entire career, Wilson understands infrastructure, municipal finance, and the need to be proactive. Being in sales has taught him to listen well and understand the needs of others, and he is confident that his experience and skill set have established a strong foundation for success in his new office.
We congratulate Dennis on his election, wish him much success, and we salute the City of Helena for making such a great choice!
