SIGMA Innovation: New Patents Secured

As a company that has always prized innovation, SIGMA is proud to announce the new patents secured by our Engineering Team:  

• Stuart Box, Vice President of Engineering, Production, and Quality secured a patent for the integral joint restraint pipe re-rounding feature — restraint ring incorporating jacking bolt assemblies to correct out-of-round pipe ends.  

• Satheesh Chandrekasaran, Head of Design and Development Team, secured a patent for the pipe re-rounding tool, a two-part semi-circular tool with jack bold assemblies for correcting distorted pipe ends prior to MJ insertion.  

• Steve Kreiser, Product Engineer, secured a patent for the Plastic meter lid and frame assembly for an in-ground meter box — metal-reinforced LLDPE lid rated for 22,500 lb loading, non-buoyant, metal-detectable.  

SIGMA currently has several patents pending and we encourage all of our team members to share their ideas for innovation.
