SIGMA Optimizes Engineering Operations
SIGMA is pleased to announce a restructuring of our Engineering Production and Manufacturing division. The new configuration will optimize agility, collaboration, and innovation to create a future-ready support system for the next phase of the Company’s journey. We have established three distinct groups, all led by seasoned, capable Directors with impressive tenures at SIGMA and elsewhere. The new structure is a clear demonstration of SIGMA’s commitment to nurturing internal talent while setting the standard for industry-leading quality and service protocols. The newly established divisions include:
Product Maintenance Engineering (PME) – Led by Ajay Roy
Ajay Roy will lead the newly formed PME Team, which will include Satheesh Chandrasekaran, Srinivasa Rao, Steve Kreiser, and the Internal Quality Control group. Together, this team will focus on new product development, product maintenance, sales support, drawing records, customer complaint resolution, and product quality. Ajay can be reached at ar2@sigmaco.com.
In addition to his core responsibilities on the PME team, Satheesh will take on a special leadership role assisting with new product development projects and heading our DDT (Design and Development Team) group in India, further strengthening the coordination between our US and India engineering operations. Satheesh can be reached at mcs@sigmaco.com.
Ajay brings a wealth of experience to the role, having spent much of his career in the waterworks industry, including a significant tenure at SIGMA. He holds a Bachelor’s degree in Industrial Engineering from Pune University, a Master’s degrees in Industrial Engineering from Auburn University, and Master’s in Business Administration from Emory University. His credentials and experience have equipped him with the technical depth and business acumen essential for this critical role.
SIGMA Polymer Enclosures Production (SPE) – Led by Jess Johnson
Jess Johnson will continue her remarkable journey with SIGMA by leading all SPE production and facilities, supported by our new IME (Industrial and Manufacturing Engineering) team and our outstanding group of local SPE managers.
Throughout her career, Jess has exemplified dedication and versatility—beginning with payroll at Russell Pipe, moving through inside sales, facility management, and ultimately leading production operations with distinction. Jess holds a degree in Computer Science from Auburn University, Montgomery, and embodies the drive and commitment that have long defined SIGMA’s success. Jess can be reached at jj1@sigmaco.com.
Manufacturing & Industrial Engineering – Led by Seth Box
The Industrial and Manufacturing Engineering Team will be led by Seth Box with the assistance of Jordan Davidson. This team will provide cross-facility support for projects related to manufacturing efficiency, facility upgrades and maintenance, new product launches, operational excellence, establishing SIGMA manufacturing code, tooling, and plant expansion.
Seth joined SIGMA with a strong background in manufacturing and warehousing, holding a Bachelor of Science in Aerospace Engineering from Auburn University and an MBA from the University of Georgia. His technical insight and leadership will be instrumental as we continue to invest in our domestic manufacturing capabilities. Seth can be reached at sb3@sigmaco.com.
Stuart Box, Vice President of Engineering, Production, and Quality, explains the move:
“The new structure reflects a shared vision to align our engineering, production, and manufacturing resources under clear leadership. We are building a platform for future growth, especially as we expand our US-based manufacturing base and injection-molding operations. The reorganization reflects SIGMA’s future—rooted in our core strengths and prepared for the opportunities ahead.”
Amit Chaudhury, Chief Operating Officer, adds, “SIGMA is keenly focused on optimizing every growth opportunity that the market presents, and that mindset is reflected in all facets of our operation. We are building on existing strengths to become a world-class engineering and production excellence center.”
SIGMA congratulates the Engineering team on this reorganization, and wishes them continued success.
