SIGMA Recognizes Outstanding Team Members
SIGMA has always considered our people as our greatest asset, and recognizing their contributions is a high priority. At last week’s National Sales Meeting, it was our privilege to present awards to employees who have truly excelled in the past year.
The Larry Rybacki Salesman of the Year Award went to Dave Brugger. His sales performance was stellar, and he was recently promoted to Midwest Regional Manager. When presenting the award, Vice President of Sales Joe Webb commented, “SIGMA had a great year and there were several potential candidates for this award, which we have named in honor of our outgoing President Larry Rybacki. Larry set the standard for sales, service, and commitment that has made SIGMA an industry leader for 40 years. We want to recognize two Honorable mentions for this award: congratulations to Jessica Stohr-Covin in the Southwest Region and Chris Staudy in the Western Region, both of whom had great years. And my sincere congrats and thanks to Dave Brugger, this year’s winner of the Larry Ryback Salesman of the Year Award.”
The Safety and Operations award went to the SIGMA facility in Birmingham, AL, and was accepted on behalf of the team by Jessica Johnson, Operations Manager for SIGMA Polymer Enclosures. When presenting the award, CEO Mark Carpenter and COO Amit Chaudhary highlighted the importance of workplace safety and the steps SIGMA has taken over the last year to implement best practices to optimize safety for all of our team members.
They congratulated all of the regions for embracing these new policies and gave special recognition to the Birmingham team for the best safety record for the past year.
The Outstanding Achievement in OEM was shared by two team members, Kathy Searles, Business Development Manager, and Kelly Grant, Customer Service Manager, for their excellent handling of the tariff challenges over the past year. Mitchell Rona, President of Business Development and SIGMA OEM extolled “their professionalism, proactiveness, and diligence, which enabled SIGMA OEM to weather the tumultuous climate created by the tariff fluctuation. Both Kathy and Kelly remained unflappable and they served our customers extremely well throughout the year.”
Greg Fox, President, presented the Atlas Award. He described it as “an award that evokes the Greek legend of the god who carried the weight of the world on his shoulders. The Atlas Award recognizes an individual who habitually puts SIGMA on her back and carries the company forward. She never says no, and in meetings, the familiar refrain, ‘all roads lead to Donna Jones’ is frequently invoked. Donna manages price lists, corporate communications, website updates, all sales and marketing presentations, merchandise, trade shows, and about a thousand other things that make the company run seamlessly.”
We congratulate all of our awardees, thank them for their excellent work, and wish them continued success.
