SIGMA to the Rescue on Georgia Infrastructure Project

SIGMA was pleased to support Ferguson Waterworks when a contractor ran into trouble while reinstalling one of our 54” restraints.  The project, a water main in Etowah, Georgia required tying a 54” pipe to 48” pipe using a reducer and replacing a spool. When the re-installation was attempted, a leak occurred and the contractor reached out to their supplier, Ferguson.   

Jack Boyko, Sales Project Manager for Ferguson’s Strategic Infrastructure Group in the Southeast explains, “My customer had an issue with a leak, which was actually stemming from a product that SIGMA didn’t supply. But it was being connected to the SIGMA restraint and we have always had good support from the SIGMA Engineering team. I reached out to Satheesh Chandrasekaran and he was able to troubleshoot. He figured out the problem and provided the recommended solution to fix the leak.” 

Satheesh comments, “The contractor reached out to us regarding reinstallation instructions and we provided them. They followed the instructions but found a leak in the seal, so they needed additional support. We requested photos and videos and we were able to identify the issue, guide them through how to correct it, and the line was restored successfully.”  

Jack continues:  “In my five years with Ferguson, I have always had great service from SIGMA and I’ve never had an issue with their quality and performance. This was a rare situation with a reinstall, and they were able to remedy the issue and restore the line quickly.”
