Jonathan Richardson Focuses on Plant Work Sales in Florida

Territory Sales Manager Jonathan Richardson, also known fondly as “Jonny Rich”, joined SIGMA in 2018. His sales territory covers northern Florida, and in recent years he’s been focusing on Plant Work sales, having built a deep knowledge of the sector. He explains:

“The reason I enjoy the Plant Work market is that you’ve got to problem solve on the ground, and often in real time. Each project has unique parameters and demands. It’s important to stay in front of customers because situations change for them on short notice, and we need to be responsive.

“Plant Work is schedule based. You’ve got to be on your game. You can be planning for a job for six months or more and then it really kicks off. Our quality service is what makes SIGMA standout, and our dedicated project management team. I couldn’t keep my customers happy without Char Blubaugh and the other specialist Plant Work project managers. We have to be ready to ship special-sized parts, or an expedited order, at next to no notice! It’s a cliché, but we take pride in our commitments,” Richardson added.

When he is not servicing customers in South Bermuda, St Peter’s Creek or Black Creek treatment plants, Jonathan is a talented woodworker. He enjoys making small furniture pieces, including Adirondack chairs. His most recent passion is to create wooden American flags for friends and family, as shown here.

And, according to colleagues, Jonathan is quick to volunteer when extreme weather events hit the Southeast region. This year alone he has provided hands-on help in flood disaster zones in both Asheville and Florida.
